About the Journal

The journal "CHEMISTRY → BIOTECHNOLOGY → ENVIRONMENT" is a biannual publication by the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Opole. It is available online at https://czasopisma.uni.opole.pl and is freely accessible. The focus of the journal is on publishing original research findings in the areas of environmental chemistry, environmental biotechnology, and environmental engineering and protection.

The main thematic areas covering basic, applied, and implementation research include:

- Elements and chemical substances in the environment: sources, threats, translocation, neutralization, and inactivation.

- Environmental pollution monitoring: biomonitoring methods, analytical methods for environmental pollution with trace substances, micro- and nanoplastics.

- Application of biotechnological processes in water and soil restoration.

- Combating anthropopressure: air, water, and soil protection, new environmental protection technologies, improving the quality of life in urban areas, threats and protection of rural areas, waste management, and remediation of degraded areas.
