Abstract

The present article focuses on the presentation and the culturally specific analysis, the metaphoric construction of reality in the Polish and German press discourse that concentrates around the Brexit theme. Contrastive explication of semantic content of selected dominant figurative models, demonstration of their secret communication intention as well as the portrayal of reality and comparison of particular metaphors on the functional and formal ground posed an essential point of the paper.
