Abstract

Light verb constructions which have the form ‘stehen unter NP’ show semantic similarities to an eventive passive construction and therefore are treated as an instance of passive voice (Pape-Müller 1980, Weinrich 2002). In the current paper, we demonstrate that the two constructions show formal as well as semantic differences.
