Language innovations and language changes respond to communication needs in relation to new circumstances and realities. With new, often unusual and “wrong” (= contrary to the norm) forms, gaps in concepts are closed or stylistic effects are achieved. The aim of the paper is to show how the temporal, social, economic, political and cultural factors influence the emergence of interesting adjective forms and attributive phrases, as well as put them into new contexts. Thanks to the innovative linguistic use by the modern society, selected adjectives rightly deserve the designation of the “21st century adjectives”.
