Increasingly complex urban structures force changes and permanent development of passenger transport. This transport ensures connection between particular urban elements both within the city and with the suburban area of the largest Polish cities. The purpose of this paper was to describe a system of passenger transport within the administrative borders of Wrocław and its suburban area, with particular attention given to the spatial aspect. The author will be analysing directions and intensity of connections, the operators’ market and connections between the transport system and other elements of the urban structure. In the article the author will be referring to the most recently completed and planned investment projects in the passenger transport infrastructure.
