Abstract

In the article the problem of sound insulation of residential areas in the city has been analyzed. A common method is the use of acoustic screens. The reference was made primarily to aspects of landscape design and positioning in relation to the multi-family housing development in the context of spatial behavior. The analysis is based on the verification of 8 architectural, landscape and technical features affecting the reception of visual space surrounded by acoustic screens. For two selected areas located in Warsaw and 12residential objects, the positive and negative examples of spatial planning of residential areas in the vicinity of noise barriers have been p resented.
