The method of researching the objective quality of life in medium-sized cities in Poland at the risk of exclusion

Abstract

In Poland, medium-sized cities constitute a significant element of the country's urban structure, with a combined population of over 11 million. This article presents the concept of researching the objective quality of life in medium-sized cities using the Perkal index. The aim of the study was to determine the objective quality of life in the analyzed cities using a single number (ranging from -3 to 3) in order to diagnose and plan public interventions aimed at improving living conditions in medium-sized cities at risk of exclusion.
