Abstract

The direction of development of modern finances raises a lot of concern. Basing the system on the phenomenon of fractional reserve and fiat money favors the indebtedness of society beyond measure, and basically without borders. This state of affairs, in addition to inflation, business cycles and unauthorized shifts in the ownership sphere, creates in people the phenomenon of a credit culture that encourages immediate satisfaction of artificial whims. Thus, the financial-monetary policy pursued by modern states, designed to abandon the optics of a life based on the virtue of patience and persistent effort, ultimately leads to a credit-dependent and propertyless society, enslaved by the desire for immediate consumption.
