Abstract

The subject of the article is the idea of dialogic thinking. It is different from the concept of dialogues – a literary figure that is used to communicate philosophical views. Dialogic thinking, as a substantively new way of practicing philosophy, appears only at the beginning of the 20th century. It was born as opposition to the reduction methods of natural sciences and their transfer to the area of humanistic and anthropological thought. In this way a new philosophical trend was created – the philosophy of dialogue. It developed in the spirit of critical remarks about the current tradition of Western philosophy. The article presents the characteristics of dialogic thinking. First, a phenomenological analysis of his key experiences was made. They are expressed in terms such as "event", "meeting," "a second", "time", "claim", "reciprocity". Then it was shown that in dialogical thinking the epistemic and ethical elements condition each other The final conclusion of the analysis is: to avoid threats from monological understanding, it is necessary to introduce it into the space of dialogical way of thinking.
