Abstract

This article is a consideration of selected thoughts of Fr Jerzy Klinger on the Orthodox liturgy. These thoughts are simultaneously present in many of Jerzy Nowosielski's statements. The shared intuitions of the two friends form the basis for theological reflection, leading to conclusions that crystallize concepts such as Orthodox theology, liturgy, liturgical practice or beauty. The mutual complementarity of the famous painter and theologian, as a result, is decisive for the quality of their work. Jerzy Nowosielski thus constructs an extremely interesting discourse on his art. Fr Jerzy Klinger, on the other hand, creates a bold theology in which he becomes an artist far from theorizing.
