Abstract

In this article the study of the life and service of the priest in respect to thirteen letters is made. The letters were retained from Elisabeth's of the Holy Trinity correspondence with Andrew Chevignard, first as a seminarian and then from 29th June, 1905, as a priest. The study shows an analysis of eight aspects: 1. The priest as a man of love; 2. The priest as a man of faith; 3.The priest as a “copy of Jesus Christ the highest archpriest”; 4. The priest as a man of contemplation; 5. The priest as a man inhabited by God; 6. The priest as a man of Holy Mary; 7.The priest as a man who is totally absorbed by pray and who needs it. In each of them the priest’s need of internal life (spiritual life) is shown which can be summarized by “Unity and Love” (Letter 192). It is realized by the fact that “God is everything for the priest” (Letter 186).
