Abstract

This article adds to the knowledge of the life and work of Hugo Krebs, an organ-builder associated with the Świdnica community, where he may have acquired his organ-building knowledge and skills. At the beginning of the twentieth century, he settled in Opole, where he took up independent work. The documents discovered about the Opole regency from the parishes in Chróścina Opolska and Stare Budkowice, as well as the study of other archives, indicate at least three addresses of the organ-builder in Opole, the fact that he took part in the activities of the First World War, returned to Opole and resumed his activities. The organ-master was involved in minor organ repairs and care. The article has a contributory character.
