The Parish in Brzeżany in September 1939

Abstract

The subject of the article is a description of the functioning of the parish of St. Apostles Peter and Paul in Brzeżany in the first days of the Second World War, with the addition of other situational motives. The
study was based on the source texts of the Book of the Notices and the Book of the Sermon Topics and Trips to Chapels, prepared by the Parish Office in Brzeżany. The information included there portrays the way of the settlement of the town residents, the cooperation of the Catholic clergy with administrative and military authorities, and life of the local Catholic community in this place.
