Le respect, mythe et réalité

Rodrigue Boulingui , Ama Brigitte Kouakou , Rolph Roderick Koumba , Lionelle Danie Moussoungou

Abstrakt

Raising a reflection on respect in our time is not easy in view of the intensification of disre- spect in the world. What justifies the invasion of such an anti-value in society? L'Épopée de Gilgamesh (2009) depicting the misesteem between the gods, but also between the gods and men, suggests that disrespect has divine origins. La Femme-poison (2010) which questions the relationship between parents and children, denounces the shortcomings of society by highlighting the crisis of respect. This novel reminds us, among other things, that in our societies, respect has become a value in process of extinction. However, his pronounced disappearance is far from happening since L'Aventure ambiguë (1961) stresses that respect is the sap of social harmony. By focusing attention on the enhancement of the "social value" of women, this text shows that respect only makes sense if it allows the improvement of people whose humanity is despised. Thus, beyond the trials through which respect passes, we can affirm that it remains a precious value that humanity keeps with great caution. It goes without saying that even though some may have decreed his death under certain circumstances, he always rises from the ashes in the image of the Phoenix to attest to his eternity.
