The article presents a fragment of the work of F. W. Berner – organist, improviser known in Europe, and animator of the musical life of former Breslau. Several works by this now forgotten artist were created on the occasion of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Reformation in Breslau and were performed in the church of St. Elizabeth (Haupt Kirche zu S. Elisabeth) and at the University. The article is an attempt to recreate the program of the jubilee, the occasional service and the university gala in the Aula Leopoldina. The Reformation Day in 1817 in Breslau (October 30 to November 1) was also the beginning of the Union Church (Unierte Evangelische Kirche), which, at the will of Frederick III, combined two Protestant denominations: Lutheran and Reformed.
