Résumé

In the artic1e Russian vocabulary is classified according to the character of sty1istic information it contains. The authors distinguish four types of marked vocabulary: 1. functiona11y shaded (containing information concerning usage), 2. socia11y marked (providing information on the speaker), 3. expressive-eva1uative (eva1uating the signified), 4. aesthetica11y eva1uative (eva1uating/referring to the sign itse1t).
