The Grounds of Contrastive Poetics

Inna Â. Černuhina

Abstract

Assuming that thinking in general is universal, it is possiЫe to distinguish in the collated texts three planes: universal, riational and the author's individual one. What is universal manifests itself in the principles of poetic thinking. The national - in the mentality, character and social knowledge in the broadest sense of the word; this is also determined Ьу the objective properties of а given language. Тhе author's individual plane of а poetic text is realized through the subjective look at the world as well as in the individual modifications of universal principles and national characteristics. Examples fom Russian and Bulgarian poetry are used as illustration. Тhе suggested formulation can also Ье employed when collating different styles.
