In recent years, more and more often urban centers take steps to strengthening their role in creative industries in the city economy. The aim of the work to describe the most common actions aimed at the development of creative industries in various cities of Europe. Based on collected data and case studies the author presents conclusions, grouped according to financial aid for entrepreneurs, social actions, initialing creative clusters and revitalization of urban areas.
