Range of metropolises impact zones

Abstract

Metropolises are an urban agglomerations with the appropriate size and important exogenous functions and endogenous impact. To determine the range of their influence should be used several criteria. The creation of the metropolitan area determined, above all, the appropriate institutional structure, including regional and central administration. In this paper an attempt to determine metropolises impact zones as the areas forming and shaping the future of regions. Delimitation of functional areas, made for the purposes of economic and planning, must be carried out relevant analysis. Importance has the selection of input material (essential and legitimate research objectives) and discussion on the choice of weights and their scope. It seems necessary, that the results of the current standard of the future delimitation, were supplemented by lessons learned from complementary studies and analyzes.
