This article presents the territorial organization of the Diocese of Kujawy-Kalisz, which was established in 1818 and consisted of parishes from the former Archdiocese of Gniezno and the Diocese of Kujawy-Pomerania. Archdeaconries and officialates (consistories) constituted the initial division of the higher administration of the diocese. In 1820, these were: the Archdeaconry of Kujawy and the territory of the consistory of Wieluń, and in 1821–1823, the Archdeaconry of Kujawy, the territory of the officialate of Piotrków and the territory of the consistory of Wieluń. In 1824, there was one foral officialate in Piotrków, and the remaining parishes were subordinate to the Włocławek consistory (the Kalisz consistory was treated as the main one, i.e. of the first order). From 1825, the diocese was divided into areas subordinate to: the general officialate in Włocławek, the general officialate in Kalisz and the foral officialate in Piotrków. In 1822, there were 24 deaneries in the diocese, comprising 363 parishes, and in 1850, there were 339 independent establishments. Smaller administrative units included branch churches: 33 in 1820 and 44 in 1850, chapels: 69 in 1829 and 73 in 1850, and prebends: one in 1820 and nine in 1850.
