Abstract

Jesus Christ is present in various ways in the liturgy of the Catholic Church with his deeds and words. In the cultic context of the Church, salvation events become present. Anyone who participates in a liturgical celebration can experience an encounter with the true God and receive sanctification. In theology, the manner of this presence of the saving events and of God Himself is called liturgical anamnesis – a presence that happens through the Holy Spirit. Whether in
a single liturgical action, a particular celebration, or in the space we call the liturgical year, Jesus Christ awaits. Thus, by participating in the liturgy, one experiences what is divine, supernatural and salvific with the help of signs and symbols, and thanks to the senses one can enter and experience salvific events in one's own way.
