The flow of information on the North Korean-Chinese Borderland. A Chance to Erosion of the State System?

Abstract

The political situation in North Korea after the seizure of power by Kim Jong Un has become a cause of many analyzes. It also relates to the sustainability of his rule. A threat to the power of authorities would be particularly the information from the data carriers, smuggled across the Chinese-North Korean border. By denying the regime’s propaganda, it would weaken its credibility and the borderland would become a place of beginnings of changes. Therefore this text is an analysis aimed to answer the question of whether is it possible in the current socio-political context. There were characterized such factors as the historical experience of the country, the role of propaganda, the degree of control and the mentality of the DPRK’s citizens.
