British and Polish Celebrity Jokes

Abstract

Celem artykułu jest porównawcza analiza brytyjskich i polskich dowcipów o popularnych w mediach osobach, które są obiektem licznych dowcipów. Można te dowcipy traktować jako rodzaj plotki, gdyż rozpowszechniają nie zawsze sprawdzone informacje.
Da się zauważyć znaczne różnice w tonie dowcipów brytyjskich i polskich. Wśród dowcipów brytyjskich przeważają dowcipy agresywne, obraźliwe i wulgarne (por. dowcipy o D. Beckhamie), natomiast dowcipy polskie są znacznie łagodniejsze, swoje “ofiary” traktują z życzliwością (np. dowcipy o A. Małyszu kreujągo na bohatera, którego jedyną “wadą” jest umiejętność wykonywania dalekich skoków).
Przyczyn tej różnicy autorka doszukuje się w odmiennych narodowych mental- nościach. To one odpowiadają za różny charakter mediów i za sposób plotkowania.

d) within the scope of creating and distributing dependent works created using the work - using them in the fields of exploitation specified in points 1-3.

5. The author is not entitled to compensation for granting the license to the work.

6. The author agrees that the University may grant further permission to use the work (sublicense) in the fields of exploitation specified in par. 2 paragraph 4.

7. The author agrees that, in connection with the distribution of the work, his or her personal information, that is, name, affiliation, and e-mail address, may be made public.
