Abstrakt

Artykuł omawia określenia, którymi posługują się osoby awansujące społecznie na drodze
kariery akademickiej. Wykorzystując teorię etykietowania, materiał empiryczny został
przeanalizowany pod kątem etykiet, którymi badani określali swoją pozycję w strukturze
społecznej. Wywiady biograficzne uzupełnione powtórzonymi wywiadami pogłębionymi
pozwoliły zidentyfikować pięć rodzajów narracji klasowych: dwie odwołujące się do kryteriów ekonomicznych, dwie do kryteriów kulturowych oraz złożoną narrację „rozszczepionego habitusu”, charakterystyczną dla osób o tożsamości hybrydowej. Analiza wpisuje
się w debaty na temat (de-)identyfikacji klasowych oraz badania nad potoczną percepcją
struktury społecznej.
