Abstract

In this second part, we focus on the question of the right to exist of religious minorities and the protection provided by European and international law, taking into account the implications of the new migratory flows caused by certain transitory or circumstantial factors (economic crises, wars or religious or ethnic persecution), which bring with them a multi-religious, multi-ethnic and multicultural mix in which they have to learn to live together, wherever they settle on a temporary or permanent basis. We conclude with a series of hints on the problems and challenges posed by a multiculturalism that is not fully integrated into the values and way of life of modern Europe and its repercussions on the future model of European coexistence.
