The notion of respect in French-speaking literature is based on socio-cultural visions, referring to a system of values. In fact, this literature considers respect as a screen on which the socio-psychological experiences of the characters are manifested. Afghan and Moroccan French-speaking literature often refer to these values through stories conveying the image of the two societies under the prism of patriarchy. The objective of this study will be to show how Khaled Hosseini and Mohamed Choukri have inscribed the theme of respect in their works by using the father-son relationship, and how can we speak of a social identity from representations of respect.
