The history of Africa is also marked by decadent situations as evidence by the passage from colonization to inedependence. Among the postcolonial African literary productions, that the ivorian writer Ahmadou Kourouma makes a particular re-use of decacdence to which he confers new habits whose ciculation in literary posterity lets profile the hypothesis of a decadentist mythogenesis having an etiological significance of the current African societal reality. a mythanalitical reading reveals a circulation of new decadent motifs brought to light by Kourouma in postcolonial French-speaking African literature to describ the chronic social disorder heralding an African revival.
