Abstract

The article addresses the current topic of the need for dialogue with non-believers. Dialogue is a conversation of at least two people, it can be understood as a method, process and social attitude. Ecumenical dialogue covers areas where there is no complete agreement between the interlocutors. It demands respect and the ability to listen to the arguments of the other party. Today, the phenomenon of unbelief grows, especially among young people, hence the need to seek forms of meetings and dialogue with the contemporary secularized environment. The universal Church undertakes various attempts to dialogue with non-believers: from proposals initiated by official documents of the Magisterium, through initiatives of local communities and churches, for example „cathedral (workshops) for non-believers”, up to the universal forum for exchange of so-called „courtyard of pagans (dialogue)”.

Keywords:

dialogue, disbelief, ecumenism, cathedral (workshops) for non-believers, courtyard of pagans (dialogue).
