Language User and the lnexpressible, Unexpressed, Not Expressed

Abstract

The author of the paper tries to systemize the communicative events of different origin, status and motivation. Their common feature is the connection with inexpressiveness and not straightforward expression. They could be classified into three groups: I. silence 2. lies 3. tal king not straightforward, talking "differently". The usage of collocations, euphe[1]misms, figures of speech (metaphors, litotes, metonymy, irony) and indirect speech acts has been taken into consideration.
