Abstract

This article presents the scientific profile of prof. Piotr Jaskóła, long-time Director of the Institute of Ecumenism and Research on the Integration of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Opole, and the co-founder and first editor-in-chief of the scientific journal “Studia Oecumenica”. The first part of the article synthesizes the most important scientific achievements, including a brief overview of key publications of prof. Jaskóła. The second part presents his didactic and organizational activities and the promotion of the young academic staff. The article also cites excerpts from reviews made by recognized authorities in Polish theology, highly appreciating the achievements and scientific competence of prof. Jaskóła.
